How to do Cross Channel Mapping between a Mobile Site Visitor and a PC Site Visitor?
Mobile is emerging as a pretty strong channel for customer acquisition. There are lots of retailers and brands in the market such as Coca Cola, Chrysler, Target etc. who have spent a decent amount of their marketing budget creating brand awareness across multiple channels.
We have companies like "iLoop" and "AD Mob" who are offering Marketing, AD Serving and Content Management Services on the WAP enabled sites, and opened an altogether different channel of engagement with the existing customers plus, offering an untapped market segment who is young, believes in 3G Technology, very content focused and understand concepts like engagement and collaboration.
As more and more channels are opening up, they are raising concerns around cross channel mapping of the visitors. For e.g. if the Visitor is going to a PC Based site of Coca Cola, and subscribing for a Video or a Song Content which is delivered on his Mobile, how to measure the success against these kinds of activities and determine the Uniqueness of the Visitor across channels.
So; if you are using Bango as a Mobile Analytics Solution, and Omniture or Coremetrics as a Web Analytics Solution for your PC site, what is your recommendation in this regards?
